What's visible in Lexington now?

A short review of more & less visible tributes in Lexington.

Lexington has been improved by the contributions of women in every era. Yet, there are few visible markers of women's achievements. Even the imprinting of women's names are rare.

 

Cary Library and Hastings elementary school are named after Maria Hastings (1801-1881).
