2020 Article 7 Petition

Thank you to the hundreds of people who signed our petition in 2020 to support Article 7 at the Fall Special Town Meeting. 

​

We were able to raise awareness of the need to increase the visibility of women, whose contributions to the community are less visible than the contributions made by men.

​

Town Meeting members voted by an overwhelming majority of 165 - 3, and many people shared their reasons in the public debate on the virtual Town Meeting floor. (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Town Meeting was held in the virtual platform provided by Zoom.)
